FlexDrill is an Austrian hardware startup developing compact hydraulic drilling technology for ground-source heat pumps. Target footprint: 1 m². Target depth: up to 200 m. Pre-commercial; technical validation and field trials are required.

Technology

FlexDrill sends high-pressure water through a flexible hose to a downhole mechanism that generates impact force directly at the drill bit. The system is designed for a compact working footprint and indoor applications. Performance requires validation.
